How to create an art or music Drop in the SPOZZ Marketplace?

You should know that all music and collectible items created in the SPOZZ Marketplace are in a collection. Therefore, before launching, you must create your own collection.
If necessary, see How to create collections that allow me to make Drops and collectible items with 1155 and 721 contracts?.

Next, we will see how to create a Music Drop within a collection that we have previously created.

First, go to “Create” and choose “Create Drops”. In order to proceed, you will need to have connected the wallet associated to your account:

Subsequently, select the category to which the Drop will belong:

In this case, we have chosen the music category. The process of creating the drop in all categories is very similar. Mainly, what varies is certain information (metadata) that the creator can add in his drop. In this regard, we recommend you see the article How to upload the ISRC code, song lyrics and other specific data to your releases?

The process of creating a release consists of three steps:

Step 1 - Basic information

As you can see in the following images, the creator must incorporate the audio of the song, the cover art, define the name of the song, put a description of the song and determine to which collection this release will belong. After that, click to continue.

Step 2 - Technical information

At this stage, the type of license must be chosen. Basically, with the personal use license, people who purchase the copy will be able to listen to the song in the SPOZZ streaming app, among other benefits. On the other hand, with the non-exclusive commercial use license, the artists cede part of the reproduction benefits to those who purchase the copies. For more details on this matter, see the article on this subject

You must also define whether you will create a release model with a limited number of copies while stocks last (e.g. 10 million copies) or a release model in which you define a deadline before which copies can be sold.

Subsequently, the price and currency in which the copies will be sold must be chosen.

Regarding the Income Split, it is a great opportunity for artists to distribute profits automatically among the various creators, managers and investors as they wish. The percentages will be defined at this moment for eternity and no one will be able to change them in the future (creators define their own terms). For more details, see the article How to distribute the income from the sales of my songs, videos or other releases among several artists and/or producers?

Regarding royalties, something similar happens: the creators define the percentage that each one will receive from the resales of the copies at this moment and forever. The maximum percentage to be distributed is 10 percent. For more details, see the article mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Step 3 - Additional data

In this third step, you must add metadata (e.g. ISRC code, song lyrics, etc.), indicate tags, song genre, language and something VERY IMPORTANT: you must indicate if you want the release to be available in the streaming app.

After clicking continue, the drop will be created and will be available for your followers to buy the copies.

The drops you have created will appear on your profile in the “My Drops” section:

It will also appear in the releases section in the SPOZZ Marketplace and in the streaming app.
