How to upload the ISRC code, song lyrics and specific data for your Music releases? How to add Metadata for Book releases, Art and more?

You can upload specific metadata for a song, a video, a photo, a podcast and all the content you want to release before the release, but you can also edit it and add information after the release.

1. Uploading during the creation of the launch

The metadata upload can be done during the launch, more precisely in the third stage of this process.

As you can see, there is a button here that says “Add metadata”. When you click it, the following window is displayed, which has different tabs with different fields depending on the type of your drop (Music, Photography, etc...).

For example, if you launch a music drop, you will see the following tabs:

Inside the “Identification” tab, for example, you will be able to load the ISRC code. If you don't have an ISRC code, you could launch the song without filling this field and add this information after launching the drop as you will see later in this tutorial.

In the “Content” tab, you can indicate who are the artists who created the song, as well as mention the collaborators, while you can also upload the lyrics of the song.

Underneath, in the “Release” tab, you indicate the record label and who owns the copyright.

Then, in the “Web2 Songlinks” tab, if you wish, you can add links to the song on other platforms.

After completing, click on “Save metadata”.

Metadata in Audio Books, Photography, Art and other categories

As you can see in the following image, the information required is different if you are launching an Audio Book. The criteria is basically the same: you can incorporate all the information you want and consider relevant.

Of course, the person who is dedicated to each creative area will know in detail how to complete the information in their respective field.

2. Editing the Metadata after the launch

After the launch, the Metadata upload process is exactly the same. What the creator has to do is to go to the drop he wants to edit.

For example, you can find your drops by going to the “Drops” tab within your profile:

There, for example, we see the following drop. By clicking on the lower right corner, “Edit” can be selected. At that point, the creator will be able to access modify or add information to the metadata.

That's it for this tutorial! You have learned how to load and edit metadata in your releases.
