How do I create collections that allow me to release Music, Art, Photography, Animation, Books and more?

A collection is like a box in which you can release songs, digital art, books, animations and any item you want.

These collections will be created in a very secure way, from a technology called blockchain, with which it is very easy to prove that the creators of the releases are legitimate. In other words, this technology makes it possible to put an end to counterfeit copies of music or art in the digital era.

At the same time, this technology allows you to sell your music, art or books anywhere in the world immediately and with very low transaction costs.

In this sense, if you are a musician, you may want to release several songs you have already created, as well as those you continue to create in the future. If you are a visual artist, you may also have many works created that you could offer for sale on SPOZZ.

Musicians, then, would find it useful to create a music collection in which you could gather all your songs. You could even create several music collections, to differentiate according to different music genres, for example.

Below, we will take a look at the process for you to create your first collection in SPOZZ.

How to create collections in SPOZZ?

1. Go to “Create”, “Collections/Albums”:

2. Next, you will need to fill in the following images and fields:

First, you must upload a cover image and a banner that will represent this collection.

Next, you must define to which category this collection belongs. In this case, we define “Music”.

Also, it must be given a name; for example: “All my music”.

In “Symbol”, you must define a nomenclature with a maximum of six characters (only letters and numbers are accepted) that defines this collection and that will be present in all the songs or items that belong to this collection.

The description should be broad if you plan to include in the collection music from different genres for example. Or, you can give it a more specific name. For this tutorial, we will give a generic name and description to this collection.

Basically, if you want to release music, you will want to choose 1155, because it is a contract type that will allow you to create many identical copies of the same song. On the other hand, contract type 721 would make sense if an artist wanted to create a single original piece that could only have a single owner worldwide.

Also, you must select the blockchain to which all future items in this collection will belong. For this tutorial, we chose Polygon because there the costs for creating the collection as well as for all future transactions are very cheap.

Finally, before creating the contract, you can give attributes to this collection. To do this, simply click on “Add attribute” and fill in the information in the pop-up window and accept.

But we recommend not to define attributes to the collection, because, this way, you will have the possibility to define and customize them every time you create a new song or book, for example.

Once all the fields are completed, we proceed to create the contract. This process of creating a contract on the blockchain has a cost, although in SPOZZ you have a way to avoid it if the blockchain you choose is Polygon.

If you click on “Let SPOZZ advance the gas fees”, SPOZZ will cover that cost, so new artists will not need to have money in their wallet in order to create their first contract.

If you do not activate this option so that SPOZZ will cover the cost of creating the first contract (you can only use this benefit if it is the first contract you generate), after clicking on “Create contract”, you will have to accept and pay with your wallet.

After confirming, the platform will notify you when the contract is created:

After accepting, the platform will direct you to your profile, where you can see the recently created collection in the “My Albums” tab:

Creation of an album/collection of Audio Book, Photography, Art, Animation...

The process of creating an album/collection of Audio Book, Photography, Art, Animation, etc., is exactly the same, only that you will have to choose the respective category in each case.

Keep in mind that you will only be able to create releases of those categories in which you have an album or collection created.

As you can see in the following image, once I have created a collection in the Audio books category, I can create releases in that category (while the categories in which I have not created a collection remain inactive).

How to create collections with contract 721?

In case you choose to create your collection with a 721 contract type, the platform will allow you to select whether this collection can have a limited or unlimited number of unique pieces.

For example, if you know that a collection of yours has 8 pieces, you can define that number and once it is completed you will not be able to create more pieces within this collection. But, on the other hand, if you consider that in the future you can continue to create new works that are part of this collection, you will want to define that the supply is unlimited.

Otherwise, the process to create the collection is exactly the same.

That's all for this tutorial! You have learned how to create Music, Art, Photo and other collections in SPOZZ. You have also learned how to create collections with contract type 1155 and 721.
