NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token.
For something to be non-fungible means that it cannot be copied.
For example, in the non-digital world, a Leonardo da Vinci painting is a unique piece. However, another artist could make a copy and it would be difficult for us to perceive the difference with the naked eye.
Meanwhile, in the digital age, in which it is so easy to make copies of files, photos and videos, for example, NFTs imply a great revolution, because it is impossible to make a copy of them.
You can copy the image of an NFT, but not to the NFT itself.
This implies that NFTs can be used to digitally and irrefutably register the ownership of something and their range of potential applications can range, for example, from supporting the intellectual property of a song or a book to the property of a house.
