The CSV files can be created in Excel.
As you can see in the image above, before uploading the CSV file to Tokenizzer, all the information must be placed in column A and separated by commas and without spaces.
However, in this tutorial, we will see a way to work in different columns (for convenience) and then gather all the information in column A (separated by commas through the use of the TEXTJOIN function).
CSV file conformation
In row 1, the word "serial" is written first and, in the contiguous cells, the attributes that the items of the collection will have.
For example:
As you can see, in this case, we have started by writing in column E, although we could also have done it in column B, C or D, for example. This is because eventually, as we will see, we will end up collecting everything in column A. For the time being, we proceed step by step.
Well, as you can see in the following image, below the category "serial", in row 2, appears the number "1", which identifies the serial number of the image that we have loaded to Tokenizzer with the name and order 1 (if necessary, see How to load collection images into Tokenizzer? and How to load collection attributes?).
Indeed, the image that we load with the number 1 is going to have the serial number 1; and, of course, all the attributes of row 2 in the CSV file should correspond to image 1.
So, if one of those categories says "hair", it is because it refers to the hair of each item in the collection.
Below, you can see image 1, which has brown hair, light blue eyes and a purple background (characteristics that correspond to the item with serial number 1 -in row 2 of the CSV file-).
The same applies for the following images, so the description in row 3 corresponds to item 2 and so on until the attributes of all items are complete.
Thus, we have distributed the information for these 10 items:
The next step is to use an Excel function to gather all this information in column A in a very simple way.
Visually, the file should look like this:
Clarification: although the word "serial" and the attributes separated by a comma (in this case, we have put "hair, eyes, background") are in lowercase, without spaces and all written in column A, then, each attribute will be seen with its initial letter in uppercase in the Tokenizzer.
Below, you can see the image and attributes of image 4, which we have loaded in row 5 of the CSV file.
Ultimately, the way in which the attributes are seen in the different platforms will depend on the design of each one of them. For example, this is how the attributes would look in OpenSea of this same item 4 of the collection created for this tutorial in the Tokenizzer:
Well, next we will see how to gather all the information in column A.
How to join the information in column A?
To achieve comma delimitation and gather all the information in column A, one way is to use the formula TEXTJOIN in English or CONCATENAR in Spanish.
Step 1 - Load the data into columns
As we can see, in this case, the data are located in columns D, E, F and G.
Step 2 - Group the data in column A
To group the data, we will use the formula CONCATENAR in Spanish (TEXTJOIN in English).
In fact, we place ourselves, for example, in cell I1 and open the CONCATENAR function.
There, we indicate that the first data to concatenate is "serial" (by clicking on the cell where the word "serial" appears, i.e. D1). After that, without closing the window, we put a comma (",") in "Text2":
Next, without closing the window, the rest of the information to be concatenated must be indicated. To do this, in Text3 click on E1 ("hair"), in Text4 put a separating comma, in Text5 click on "country" (F1), then another comma in Text6 and, finally, click on "background" (G1).
Once the concatenation has been defined, click on "OK".
After that, the data grouped in I1 will appear:
Now, to display the concatenated data for all the rows with information, click on I1, in the lower right corner that is highlighted, and drag down to include all the rows in which we have incorporated information:
In this way, we will obtain the concatenated data for all rows:
Now, we must take this data to column A and delete all the rest. To do this, copy the concatenated information from column I and paste its values into column A:
Attention: we must copy and paste only the values (not simply "copy" and "paste"), because, as can be seen in the following image, when we start deleting the information in columns E, F and G, column I (which is the concatenated column) is affected, but the information in column A is not affected.
Having pasted the values in column A, it is possible to delete the information in all the columns other than column A without affecting the data unified in column A.
Thus, the information in column A will finally be grouped together:
Now, proceed to save the file as CSV (comma delimited):
Once the file is saved, to check that everything is correct, proceed to open this CSV file in Notepad:
When doing so, you can see that the information was sorted and separated by commas between data and data:
That's it! We have seen how to define the attributes of the collection working for convenience in different columns in Excel and then how to group this information through the TEXTJOIN function (CONCATENAR) and obtain the CSV file to be able to upload it to Tokenizzer.
