All music and collectible items created in the SPOZZ Marketplace are in a collection. Therefore, before launching, you must create your own collection (if necessary, see How to create collections that allow me to launch Music, Art, Photography, Animation, Books and more).
Once you have created your collection, go to “Create”, “Drops/Initial Content Sales”:
Subsequently, select the category to which this release will belong. In the case of this tutorial, we could only create Music or Audio book releases, since we had previously created collections in those categories (if necessary, see How to create collections that allow me to make releases of Music, Art, Photography, Animation, Books and more).
In this case, we have chosen the music category. The process of creating the release in all categories is very similar. Mainly, what varies is certain information (metadata) that the creator can add to the release. In this regard, we recommend you see the article How to upload the ISRC code, song lyrics and other specific data to your releases?
Step 1 - Basic information
- Upload the audio file (for music).
- Add cover art.
- Define the song name.
- Write a description.
- Assign the release to a collection.
- Set exclusive content (e.g., a private video for fans or restricted book content).
Click to continue.
Step 2 – Technical Information
Choose a license type (Important: Once the drop is published, you cannot change the license type):
- "Music Lover" → Personal use. Buyers can stream the song on SPOZZ.
- "Super Fan" → Buyers can stream the song and receive a share of streaming revenue.
See more details about topic here. - BEATS – Creator-to-Creator Exclusive License. (See: What are BEATS and how can they be created, sold, and bought on SPOZZ?).
You can also choose whether the drop goes live immediately or at a future release date, with an optional pre-sale date.
Define the release model:
- Limited copies (e.g., 10 million copies).
- Time-limited sale (until a specific date).
Set the price and currency.
Income Split:
- Artists can automatically distribute earnings among collaborators, managers, and investors.
- The percentage is set permanently and cannot be changed later.
See more details here.
Royalties:
- Creators set a resale royalty percentage (up to 10%).
- The percentage is locked forever.
Click to continue.
Step 3 – Additional Data
- Add metadata (e.g., ISRC code, lyrics).
- Add tags, genre, language.
- Choose if the release should be available on the streaming app.
After clicking continue, the drop will be created and available for followers to buy copies.
Your created drops will appear in your profile under "My Drops" and on the SPOZZ Marketplace and streaming app.
