What can’t you do with the SPOZZ internal wallet? How can you link it to a third-party wallet manager like MetaMask?

With the SPOZZ internal wallet:

  • You cannot create collections.
  • You cannot create drops (e.g., song releases).
  • You cannot purchase on the SPOZZ secondary marketplace.

So, if you are an artist and want to release songs, you need to install a third-party wallet manager (e.g., MetaMask), which allows you to manage your wallet for actions requiring confirmations such as sending transactions.

How to link your SPOZZ internal wallet with a third-party wallet manager like MetaMask?

When you created your internal wallet, you wrote down your 12-word recovery phrase and stored it securely.

If you have those 12 words, you can open the same wallet in MetaMask or another wallet manager.

Here, you can learn how to download MetaMask in your browser (Chrome, Brave, Opera, Firefox, or Edge).

After installing MetaMask, choose “Import using Secret Recovery Phrase” and enter the 12 words you saved.

If for some reason you don’t want to look for the paper where you wrote down the 12 words, go to the Finance section, open your wallet, and click “How to export this wallet?”

You will then be prompted for your password, and you’ll be able to view the 12 words and the wallet’s private key again.

With either of those, you can open the wallet you created on SPOZZ in MetaMask or another wallet manager.

How to Import the Seed Phrase into a Wallet Manager

After downloading the wallet manager extension (for example, MetaMask from metamask.io), you must export the wallet you created in SPOZZ at https://spozz.club/finances/spozz_wallet (as previously mentioned in this tutorial).

Enter your password and copy your private key or seed phrase.

In MetaMask (or whichever wallet manager you will be using), you must indicate that you already have a wallet — otherwise, it will create a new one (and you want to import the same wallet you created in SPOZZ).

Then, paste into the wallet manager the seed phrase you extracted from SPOZZ.

Next, the wallet manager will ask you to create a password. With this step, your SPOZZ-created wallet will be successfully exported and ready to use in this wallet manager.

You can see that the wallet address is the same as the one we created in SPOZZ for this tutorial:
0x3BD3c3Ca8269f96Fa3ae39E09b4F96C95fE06189.

Then, return to SPOZZ to connect the wallet manager using the blue button shown in the following image.

Select the wallet manager you have installed and proceed to connect it.

As shown in the next image, the wallet manager will request confirmation for this connection. This is an example of the utility it will have in the future — for instance, confirming the creation of your collections or sending funds through the blockchain.

You can now see your wallet address displayed in your account profile, and it matches the address of the internal wallet you created in SPOZZ.

With your wallet connected, you will be able to create multiple music collections and release your songs.

That’s it for this tutorial. You have learned what cannot be done with the internal SPOZZ wallet and how to export it into a third-party wallet manager — which will allow you to perform all blockchain interaction functions.
